Staying at the Worth Valley, June 6th, 7th, 13th and 14th were to feature all 4 of our carriages hauled by L&Y 0-6-0 52044. Unfortunately the brick arch in 52044 collapsed on 13th and the remainder of the day was operated by a Class 14 diesel. The 3 remaining days were operated by L&NWR Coal Tank 1054, however a problem was encountered with the brake system on our L&Y Btake Third 1474 which required it to be replaced with a found BR Mark 1 brake. Investigation of the problem in in hand, although the actual issue canot be recreated so far.

We now move onto 16th and 17th May at the Worth Valley, it was intended that our Club Carriage 47 and Brake 3rd 1474 would feature in their 1940s Weekend but for operational reasons only Brake 3rd 1474 was in use.

Pug 19 as 11243 went on hire to the Severn Valley Railway for their Spring Steam Gala event 16th to 20th April, it was used on a shuttle service running between Kidderminster and Bewdley top and tailing with the diminutive ‘Judy’ formerly from Port of Par. 19 was scheduled to run double-headed with 71000 Duke of Gloucester but technical issues prevented them from being coupled together. The weekend of 21st/22nd February 2026 featured a Small Engines Gala on the East Lancashire Railway, with our Saddletank 752 (as 11456) and Pug 19 (as 11243) running throughout the weekend. Pug 19 ran with a Burrows well tank loco ‘THE KING’ with which is wmorked at UGB in London when 19 was named ‘PRINCE’ in the 1960s, the well tank being recently restored. During the weekend January 24th and 25th 2026 East Lancashire Railway ran a ‘Open House’ event, our Saddletank 752 (as 11456) was on view for public access to the running shed with many other locos, Pug 19 as 11243 ran a ‘top and tail’ of 2 brakevans together with Saddletank ‘ J.N.Darbyshire’ between Buckley Wells and Bolton Street Station.
