Conservation of 279 started after its arrival at Oxenhope in 1996 but the full restoration did not get under way until 2010, the whole project taking around 7 years.

2015 to 2017 also saw fitting of the upholstery (top 2 rows) and external finishing along with a multitude of details

2014’s main work was on the doors and roof covering with a start on the heating system
