AUGUST 2026 – events and use of our stock
During Augsut our stock will feature in events at both the Worth Valley and East Lancashire railways
On Saturday 8th August the East Lancashire Railway will be using both our locos in a ‘Lancashire & Yorkshire Running Day’.
As in 2025 our Saddletank 752 still running as LMS 11456 will either double head or top and tail steam services with ‘A’ Class 52322.
Pug 19 running as LMS 11243 will be used for ‘driver experiences’ around Bolton Street Staion – these ae pay on the day by cash or card at the Station, they have proved very popular on previous occasions.

Also on 8th August a Members General Meeting of the Trust is taking place at the Castlecrof Museum, a notice of the meeting has been sent to all those entitled to attend.
WORTH VALLEY VINTAGE TRAINS WEEKEND
Our carriages are to feature in this event from Saturday 29 to Monday 31 August, although there is a possibility that there will be a substitute for our Bogie Brake 1474 if its current braking system issue cannot be resolved in time.
