Use of our stock in 2026
We are now finding that preserved railways are giving more advance notice of events than has previously been the case, so below is a list of events which are likely to involve use of our stock. It has been compiled from the East Lancashire Railway (ELR) Facebook pages and website, also the Worth Valley (WVR) website.

ELR Small Engines Gala 21st-22nd Februaty 2026 – featured both our locos, including well tank ‘The King’ which worked with Pug 19 at United Glass over 60 years ago – see images on our pages Stock in Use and Video OnLine
WVR Steam Gala 19th to 22nd March 2026 – our carriages were in use only on 19th and 22nd – see images on our pages Stock in Use and Video OnLine
ELR Legends of Steam III 10th to 12th April 2026 – our Saddletank loco 752 running as 11456 features as a ‘Legend’ – more details (including timetables) on web here

We are expecting the ELR to announce in due course the dates of Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway themed running days for 2026, these will be added to the above list when known.
