Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Trust is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation registered in England & Wales as 1157071. 

From 1988 to 2014 it was an unincorporated charity (1002627).  Membership is welcomed and includes:-

  • Hands on restoration experience - No special expertise or previous experience required

  • Illustrated ON TRUST magazine and Newsletters

  • Admission to sites where the collection may be visiting

  • Social outings

  • The right to attend and to vote at the Trust's Annual Meeting.

Note that under Charity Regulations, certain responsibilities and undertakings are required of members.  These are described in the membership/donation form and the governing document of the Trust, the constitution, which can be viewed here.

The membership rate for the calendar year, is 10.00, new members from September onwards receiving the following year free.  To become a member, please complete the relevant parts of the membership/donation form.

Should you not wish to accept the responsibilities and undertakings required under Charity Regulations, you may become an Associate of the Trust subject to a minimum annual donation, currently 10.00.  Further details can be found on the membership/donation form.
